CLANTON –Monday 130 pm, October 5, 2026
A Flood Watch continues for Geneva and Houston counties until 7 pm.
In looking at the current weather, models indicate the bulk of the precipitation has ended for far southeastern Alabama, with an additional 0.5 inch or less expected through the afternoon.
There is now a 60% chance of tropical development by Wednesday and an 80% chance after Wednesday. A tropical depression will likely form by Wednesday. As expected, there is still much uncertainty concerning future track and intensity before landfall, but heavy rainfall is expected along the far southern sections of Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida beginning this weekend.
The good news is that the radars at Mobile, Tallahassee, Fort Rucker and Eglin AFB are now disseminating data as of early afternoon.
