In the 10 am update, NHC stated that even with increased wind shear, the wind forecast at landfall remains a challenge. Although timing/track has not changed much, sustained wind speeds at landfall are now forecast to be 90-100 mph, decreasing to 40 mph when it reaches eastern Mississippi or west-central Alabama Saturday morning, exiting the state Saturday evening.
