A cluster of showers and thunderstorms will move southeastward into Alabama through early evening. A few wind gusts from 40-60 mph and very heavy rainfall in the western portions of the state. Another cluster of storms may move across the southern half of Alabama on Thursday, but confidence is currently low in timing, specific locations, and the strength of this system.
Little to no rainfall is forecast from Friday through at least next Tuesday, with increasing heat levels. Afternoon Heat Index values on both Saturday and Sunday will range from the upper 90s to 105, and from 102 to 110 on Monday.
