CLANTON – Sunday, 3:30 pm, June 21, 2026

It now appears there could be two clusters of storms that affect Alabama from early Monday through early Tuesday morning.  Since these clusters are rather small, there continues to be lower-than-normal confidence in both specific locations and timing.

The first cluster may affect areas north of I-20 from 3 am through 10 am.  Another cluster is expected to occur across the northern portions of the state any time Monday afternoon and to travel southward through early Tuesday morning.  Timing for both is shown in the graphics below.

A few wind gusts from 40-60 mph and torrential rainfall of 1-2 inches are possible, with some spots potentially receiving 2-4 inches and flooding.

Due to moist soil conditions, trees could be downed in spots even with 40 mph winds.  Another update will be provided early tomorrow.
