…Ice Storm Warning Continues this afternoon for Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin counties…
…Flood Warning until 6 PM for several northern counties…
…Cold weather Advisory tonight through Monday morning for most of the state with Extreme Cold Warning for the southwestern sections…

As of 1 pm, precipitation is ending quickly near the Alabama/Mississippi state line and will end across the southeastern counties around 6 pm. Several counties in north Alabama are under a Flood Warning until 6 pm, mainly for urban areas, low-water crossings, and roads near overflowing creeks and streams.

A line of thunderstorms continues to move across the eastern portions of the state and a couple of damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two are possible before the threat ends by 3 pm.
Below-freezing temperatures were moving into the northwestern sections as of 1 pm and will continue to drop below freezing through the afternoon and into tonight. A graphic showing a timeline of when temperatures drop to 32 degrees is provided below.
This may cause black ice to form tonight into Monday morning in areas where standing water freezes.

Low temperatures Monday morning will range from the teens north to mid 20s at the coast with wind chill readings near 0 degrees north to mid-teens at the coast.
Highs on Monday will range from the 20s north to 40s south but will feel colder with gusty winds continuing through the day. Lows Tuesday morning will be in the single digits north to lower 20s at the coast with highs from the 30s north to 40s south. The cold weather will continue through Friday.
