CLANTON – Wednesday 6:00 pm, April 6, 2022
At 5:30 pm, a nearly solid line of showers and thunderstorms just north of I-20/59 was moving southeastward. The storms are entering a very unstable environment with damaging straight-line winds and large hail in a few areas the main threats. The tornado threat is low, but one or two can’t be ruled out.
South of I-20/59, individual or clusters of strong to severe storms are possible with straight-line winds and hail the main threats, but it appears there is a better chance of severe weather with the line of storms.
The threat of severe weather will end with the passage of the line of storms.
