Likely Tornado Damage Reported

CLANTON – 355 pm, January 19, 2019

There have been reports of damage in both Autauga and Elmore Counties (near Montgomery), which was likely caused by one or more tornadoes.

The area shaded in gray above is still in the region where additional severe weather, both straight-line winds and tornadoes, is possible for the remainder of the afternoon and into the evening. The line of storms will clear the state after 8 pm.

Make sure you have at least two ways to receive severe weather warning information and be prepared to take quick action if a warning is issued. If a warning occurs, get to the lowest floor possible and put as many walls as possible between you and the outside. Avoid all travel until the line of storms has passed where you live.
