Welcome to the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA). We are excited you are taking the time to learn about your disaster risks and are preparing your response effort. It is the mission of the AEMA to assist the needs of disaster victims as well as assisting local government in preparedness, response and recovery. On a daily basis we are coordinating with federal and state agencies to facilitate our disaster preparedness. Recent disasters have taught us the importance of residents knowing the threats they face and also having a plan to sustain themselves for a minimum of 72 hours.
