Divisions

Field Services
The AEMA Field Services Division is responsible to the Field Services Division Chief.  The scope of activities in this division includes, but is not limited to, the following:
 
  • Liaison between AEMA/local EMA programs providing assistance as needed through preparation of Emergency Management Performance Grants (EMPG), evaluating local EMA programs, training and exercises, pre-planning and assessments of local capabilities for disaster response, assisting counties in E-911, VOAD, all emergency management programs and areas in State EMA and FEMA, including issues and assistance with CSEPP, REP, and other programs.
  • Provides assistance to county elected officials to maintain active involvement.
  • Liaisons for disasters by conducting damage assessments in disaster affected areas, assisting FEMA during disaster declarations, working closely with other state agencies in disaster recovery centers, and coordinating with local EMA directors and provides information to the AEMA Director and his command staff.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Director and Division Chiefs
